Leather designer and craftwoman Staci Schubert is a Laguna Beach and Sawdust Art Festival success story. Schubert's line of hand-made bags and accessories debuts this week in New York City at the new Shecky's Shop in SoHo. She was chosen as one of few designers to launch the flagship store of the major new boutique. Schubert's bags, made of Italian leather and lined with suede, have a hand-made quality without losing chic, with laces, sturdy rivets and etched designs that add subtle touches. -Happenings News

Staci Schubert's hippie-style, rock 'n' roll handbags are described as "little pieces of art." The handbags are made from imported leather, are handcrafted with silver riveting, one-of-a-kind raw-edge flaps and leather appliques. The appliques design included leaf-shape lotuses and iron-cross emblems that are sometimes finished with embroidery. Schubert will sign the inside of each bag. -Apparel News

"I met Staci Schubert about two years ago at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach.  There I purchased a beautiful belt, ( orange and black with rings) and I love it!  I later also ordered a cell-phone case from her and she custom-measured me for the strap and had it ready a few days later.  I have to say that cell-phone holder saved my life !!!! I am never losing my phone like other co-workers and customers as well as managers can call me anytime. (I work as a personal shopper in a luxury retail store in Newport Beach).

Because of my job, I see the finest merchandise from Italy, France etc... I have to admit that my customers always ask where did I get that interesting belt or my cell-phone case and I tell them about Staci.  Her leathers are beautiful Italian quality skins and her designs are one-of-a-kind!
